Liquid Metal iPhones the Future?
April 23, 2012 by
The science-fiction genre is full of stuff that technophiles dream will one day become reality -- everything from Star Trek holodecks to Back to the Future hoverboards. Remember in Terminator 2 when Arnold Schwarzenegger faced off with T-1000, a futuristic assassin made out of a fictional amorphous alloy called liquid metal?
Well, according to a recent round of Apple rumors, a similar technology may be making its way to the next iPhone. Of course, since Arnold has since retired from his terminating and governating days, no one will be able to save us if these new devices prove to similarly have homicidal tendencies.

Interesting Podcast Question and Answer
April 9, 2012 by
College Times: Why podcasting over traditional publishing methods?
Scott Sigler: I had been trying to get a traditional publishing deal for about 10 years when that started. The problem I had was publishers would tell us that they loved the writing but did not know what shelf to put it on. They are like, Is this horror, is this sci-fi, is this modern day thriller, suspense? I podcasted knowing that if people liked the episodes they would then mail the link to their friends, they would post the link in forums, and they would instant message it back and forth, and that anybody they gave that link to could click on it and listen right away. So I saw it as an opportunity to build up a lot of fans in a short amount of time without having to spend money to print a book, without having to do any advertising or anything like that.
