How To Use Podcasting To Become Well Known In Your Market

May 8, 2012 by A Podcasting Blog from Podcasting Tools - Daily Podcasting News and Information for Podcasters and Listeners.
Some online marketers seem to have the mistaken assumption that in order to do podcasting you need a lot of technical ability or skills. Other marketing methods, such as video marketing, have caused so many to not even consider using the all-audio podcast.

If you stop and think about it, you can derive a good many benefits from the power of a podcast. Marketing diversity is highly advisable for any business, and that is just one huge reason to take a serious look at podcasting.

Liquid Metal iPhones the Future?

April 23, 2012 by A Podcasting Blog from Podcasting Tools - Daily Podcasting News and Information for Podcasters and Listeners.
The science-fiction genre is full of stuff that technophiles dream will one day become reality -- everything from Star Trek holodecks to Back to the Future hoverboards. Remember in Terminator 2 when Arnold Schwarzenegger faced off with T-1000, a futuristic assassin made out of a fictional amorphous alloy called liquid metal?

Well, according to a recent round of Apple rumors, a similar technology may be making its way to the next iPhone. Of course, since Arnold has since retired from his terminating and governating days, no one will be able to save us if these new devices prove to similarly have homicidal tendencies.

Audio vs Video Podcasts

April 16, 2012 by A Podcasting Blog from Podcasting Tools - Daily Podcasting News and Information for Podcasters and Listeners.
About 80% of what is on offer are audio podcasts. That's because, unlike video podcasts, these can be produced more cheaply and easily.

It is fairly easy to make a podcast. The important thing to remember while doing so is to make sure you have something to say. Distribution is also key.

Podcasting Not Exclusive to iTunes

April 10, 2012 by A Podcasting Blog from Podcasting Tools - Daily Podcasting News and Information for Podcasters and Listeners.
Podcasts are by no means limited to Apples iPod. Computers, laptops, tablets, MP3 players and smartphones can all play podcasts. There are very few technical hurdles to creating a podcast. Freeware like Audacity can be used for editing audio podcasts. To distribute the podcast, you need a little online space for a web site.

The hype about podcasts has faded as they have become part of everyday life. But the growing eminence of smartphones means it is becoming ever easier to access these homemade audio and video clips.

Interesting Podcast Question and Answer

April 9, 2012 by A Podcasting Blog from Podcasting Tools - Daily Podcasting News and Information for Podcasters and Listeners.
College Times: Why podcasting over traditional publishing methods?

Scott Sigler: I had been trying to get a traditional publishing deal for about 10 years when that started. The problem I had was publishers would tell us that they loved the writing but did not know what shelf to put it on. They are like, Is this horror, is this sci-fi, is this modern day thriller, suspense? I podcasted knowing that if people liked the episodes they would then mail the link to their friends, they would post the link in forums, and they would instant message it back and forth, and that anybody they gave that link to could click on it and listen right away. So I saw it as an opportunity to build up a lot of fans in a short amount of time without having to spend money to print a book, without having to do any advertising or anything like that.
